Expanding our focus:
Solving short-term and long-term needs

Matthew 633 Food Pantry started as a community pantry in 2018 at 2 Birch Street in Willimantic.  People would come every day and pick food from the shelves to meet their short-term need for food.  Many people were also going to other community food pantries in town on a regular basis.  Government statistics show that 30% of the population of Willimantic falls within the poverty level.

The question is: How can we help people with their immediate needs and also help them with their long-term needs?

In 2020  Matthew 633 Food Pantry moved to 120 Union Street, Willimantic in the Kingdom Destiny Outreach International building.  Currently, the loving people at Kingdom Destiny Outreach Int'l are in support of the goals of Matthew 633 ministry.

Our goal is to meet people where they are at with love and understanding.

We want to take the time to understand current needs and then find solutions to meet their immediate needs along with their long-term needs.
